Nye Bjønnes Sykehjem, Nøtterøy 2015
– å leve ved vann, Verdun – er et veggteppe i oppholdsrom, forlengelse av kafeteria i byggets første etasje. Nye Bjønnes Sykehjem er et hjem for demente og oppgaven i alle kunstprosjektene på bygget var å skape gjenkjennelse for beboere fra Nøtterøy. Jeg valgte vann som motiv. Navnet Verdun betegner en badestrand på Knarvik, Nøtterøys østside. Dette var min badestrand i alle barneår familien hadde hytte der, og således knytter jeg en egen historie til teppet.
– to live by the water, Verdun – is a wallhanging located in a living room adjacent to the cafeteria on ground floor og the building. New Bjønnes Nursing home is a home for patients with dementia and the task given for all the art projects was to create recognition for the inhabitants from Nøtterøy. I chose water as a motif. The name Verdun belongs to a small bathing site at the east of the island. This was my swimming place through all my childhood as my family had a cabin in the area, and thus I link my own history to the textile piece.
